What is ASB? 

ASB is a year-long elective course aimed at empowering students to lead, inspire, and make a difference in the school community and beyond through hands-on learning and service. 

 

Mission Statement

We, the Associated Student Body of Parras Middle School, in order to create an inclusive and engaging school environment where everyone feels welcome, pledge to lead by example by planning and participating in school activities, more effectively communicating and connecting with our peers, caring for our school, and striving to create a judgment-free community united in celebrating students' individuality.

ASB Class Representative Elections

Applications due: September 13, 2024, at 8:00am

Voting: September 19, 2024, in advisement

 

Interested in joining ASB? Run for class representative! There will be two representatives elected from 6th grade and one each from 7th and 8th grade. If elected, students will be added to the ASB class (5th period). Please be aware this may cause other schedule changes. To be eligible, students must follow all representative requirements and campaign guidelines. (See PDF below)

The application includes an agreement to representative and campaign requirements as well as a place to upload a one minute video detailing what sets you apart as a leader at Parras Middle School.

 

 

Club Rush

Club Poster Making & Tutorial: Sept 17 & 18, 12:30 - 1pm in the ASB room

Club Rush: Sept 24 & 24 during lunch, between halls 2 & 3

 

Club Rush is a lunchtime event for students to create, learn about, and join clubs on campus. Any student can start a club! If you are interested in forming a club, see details below.

 

All clubs must:

  • Be school appropriate
  • Have a teacher advisor
  • Fill out the Club Application Google Form
  • Set up at table at Club Rush to advertise and recruit for your club

 

Need help?

  • ASB is hosting a "How to Start a Club" event
  • Sept 17 & 18 from 12:30 - 1pm the ASB room
  • Interested students can stop by to make posters for their club (supplies provided), receive advice and tips and have any questions answered they might have.
